AutoCross™
AutoCross technology eliminates an entire category of network troubleshooting by automatically matching crossed and uncrossed cables to the appropriate connection. The twisted pair port is instantaneously configured to the correct MDI or MDI-X configuration.
LinkAlert™
Because most Ethernet technologies are unable to recognize downlink faults, a failed link may appear normal to network management, requiring unnecessary time devoted to troubleshooting. LinkAlert monitors all physical uplink and downlink failures and enables all faults to be detected by network management.

Fast Ethernet Point System Slide-In-Module Media Converters (Class A)
Port 1: 100BASE-TX(RJ-45)
Port 2: 100BASE-FX 1300nm MM (ST) (2 km)
Round trip delay of only 40 bit times—far below the Class II rating of 92 bit times.
N-Way Auto-Negotiation
Only Transition Networks guarantees compatibility with any 10/100 compliant port. This feature allows you to force the proper port configuration through an external switch on the converter; unlike competitive products that ship in auto-negotiation mode and may require both hardware and software configuration.
Automatically detects and reports loss of link on a connection using Link Pass Through. This feature allows the equipment at the remote end of a link failure to "see" this failure and respond with corrective actions, such as Spanning Tree fail-over links, proprietary trunking links, or failure reports through SNMP or RMON procedures built into the switch, router or hub.

Gigabit Ethernet Networks
1000BASE-T to 1000BASE-SX/LX
Transition Networks’s Gigabit Ethernet converter is perfect for enterprise networks or connecting campus backbones with bandwidth intensive applications; such as large file transfers and multimedia. Utilizing the 1000BASE-T to 1000BASE-SX/LX converters in conjunction with lower cost 1000BASE-T switches affords users the opportunity to upgrade their network to Gigabit speeds in an economical manner.
1000BASE-T to 1000BASE-SX/LX Fiber Point System Media Converters
Port 1: 10/100/1000 BASE-T (RJ-45)[100 m]
Port 2: 1000BASE-SX 850nm multimode (SC) [220 m]
10/100/1000 media converter that converts the electrical signal of a 10/100/1000 Ethernet signal from copper to fiber. This solution will offer a low-cost integration option for network managers who want to migrate from 10/100 networks to Gigabit Ethernet. Gigabit only switches can now be connected to 10/100 networks without the need to upgrade the 10/100 side, allowing network managers to add new equipment gradually.

LinkAlert Technology
Because most Ethernet technologies are unable to recognize downlink faults, a failed link may appear normal to network management, requiring unnecessary time devoted to troubleshooting. LinkAlert monitors all physical uplink and downlink failures and enables all faults to be detected by network management.
Multimode version can support fiber optic segments up to 2,000 meters.
Single mode version supports segments up to 15,000 meters in length.
Both multimode and single mode transceivers connect AUI male (DB-15) nodes to a fiber optic medium via a standard ST type connector in both full and half-duplex modes. The ability to operate in full-duplex mode allows for operation between switches, routers and servers using full-duplex Ethernet.
Multimode version takes advantage of full duplex transmission to increase data rates between devices up to 20 Mbps.
Long-Haul version, E-FRL-MC05(L), uses a 1300nm LED rather than the standard 850nm LED, so it can transmit and receive data over distances up to 5,000 meters. That's almost a 3,000-meter advantage over the standard 10BASE-FL distance of 2,000 meters.
